Finally

I am finally non-Christian enough that non-Christians will happily discuss religion and God and such with me.  Yay! This makes me happy.  Especially as these topics are so very interesting.  I had a wonderful conversation last night that included the topic of panentheism with a man who was raised Catholic and is gay, a woman who is an atheist and was raised by atheist ex-Mormon parents, and another man who was so hurt by his standard evangelical upbringing that he just stopped caring about God all together.  At the end of this conversation the third guy said, "I want to keep talking."

I'm so happy.  There is so much to explore and discover in the realm of spirituality and until now I had no one to talk to about it because non-Christians didn't trust me, and Christians didn't have anything to discuss because they already "knew" all the answers with the exception of theologians and I just can't quite engage with them yet because I am not educated in theology.

But I LOVE talking about this stuff.

My favorite part of the night was when I was asked, "So do you believe in God?"  I got to honestly answer that it depends on what you mean by God.  There are so many definitions.  And they are all so very interesting.

So Reader, do you believe in God?  And if so, what do you mean by "God"?

  2. Karen, thank you! =)

About your second point, what do you do with peoples stories of supernatural experiences? (I'm really truly curious and trying to learn).
